Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned of the possibility of cutting off negotiations with Russia, if Moscow continues with the plan to try Ukrainian soldiers caught in Marioupol.
“If the disgusting judicial process continues, it would mean violating lines that would prevent the continuation of negotiations”, Zelensky said in his most recent address, telegraphed.
There will be no more negotiations, our state has already said what it wanted to say”, he added.
On the other hand, Russian Ambassador to the United Nations Gennady Grejlov was quoted by the Financial Times, saying the Turkish president has been able to facilitate dialogue between the two countries as a guarantor state.
On the other hand, he has denied speculation about talks between Voldymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin, stressing that “there has not been any practical platform for this” meeting.
We remember that talks between Ukraine and Russia have stalled on most of the themes, despite the recent agreement on safe transportation of cereals from the ports of Ukraine.
And if negotiations stop, it would give little hope that war would end in the near future.
