Xhavit Haliti: Kurti and his parrot dialogue are devoted only to electoral interests

Dialogue must be done, so far the Kurti Government and its parrots are dedicated to this issue for electoral interests, said PDK deputy Xhavit Haliti from PDK ranks in an interview given to Periscope. MP Haliti has also talked about the latest situation of creating tensions in the north and delaying the reciprocity measure against Serbia for 30 days.
According to Mr. Haliti, Kurti's statements are described as warmongering that serve neither the present nor the future of Kosovo.

Periscope: How do you comment on the recent statements of Prime Minister Kurti, where he says that “we are fighting war. Behind Serbia is Putin”, where such statements are being regarded as spreading panic to citizens?
Xhavit Haliti: Fighting statements serve neither the present nor the future of Kosovo nor the region. The peoples of the former Yugoslavia and we have also experienced a horror caused by a regime that, at any cost, wanted to preserve Serb hegemonism to people of other federal entities. What is necessary for all of us living in the Western Balkans is the preservation and establishment of lasting peace by not provoking one another.
Periscope: How did Kurt's decision to postpone the implementation of reciprocity for license plates and documents by September 1st comment? - That demand, in fact, was the American Embassy (international sector) in our country. This is seen as a major change of Mr. Kurti, considering his earlier statements about what is called international power. How do you see this?
Xhavit Haliti: The decision to postpone reciprocity for the license plates is considered positive, for blood was heated, provocations were planned by the head of Serbia. They wanted Kosovo police to fall prey to these provocations and in the chaos that would arise, the consequences would be unpredictable.
Periscope: What happens in 30 days when reciprocity starts to apply, do you think there may be tensions again?
Xhavit Haliti: Any action and decision serving peace between our two countries is welcome by our peoples and the international community. So foresight in decision-making is the property of civilized peoples. But I think that we should not take actions which are contrary to the positions Western countries have regarding the Balkans and in this case even Kosovo.
Periscope: President Osmani in a recent BBC interview has sent a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin that he will fail in trying to stabilise the Western Balkan region. How do you evaluate these messages?
Xhavit Haliti: Perhaps the president has some information about the commitment of the president of Russia, who has openly expressed what she claims and does not rule out the possibility that in the region he has the agent that works for their interests. But I think it's enough for us to maintain our pro-Western stance and absolutely do not need to send threatening messages to anyone, much less a suser. The establishment of peace with Serbia paves the way for Kosovo, Serbia and the entire region to integrate into the EU.
Periscope: Where is the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue?
Xhavit Haliti: Dialogue has to be done, so far the Kurti Government and its parrots have dedicated the issue to electoral interests. Even Serbia's president has sometimes behaved like a wolf dressed in lamb skin and sometimes as a fox to deceive the international community. Both Kurti and Vucic know that there can be no change in Kosovo's constitutional status. This is internationally guaranteed, so as soon as both sides pledge to implement bilateral agreements, including the association of municipalities, according to the Kosovo Constitution, the Ahtisaari Pacos, the four principles of the Contact Group and the recent position of Mr. Escobar. The faster our joint EU integration will be./ P ERISCOPI/Intervisto: B ESARTA HOTI
