Vuciq: No easy talks with Lajcak and Escobar, we'll meet again after 10:00.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has held a meeting with European Union special envoy for Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia Miroslav Lajcak and US Special Envoy for the Balkans Gabriel Escobar.

In a video published in the Instagram, Vuciq said the talks were not easy and added that they would continue tonight after 10:00.

The meeting at the Headquarters building started at 5:00 and lasted about 40 minutes. In addition to Lajcak, Escobar and Serbia's president, US and EU ambassadors to Serbia, Christopher Hill and Emanuele Giofre were present, Vuciq said.

In a video message to citizens, he said he would fight for peace and stability, but that he would never deviate from national vital interests and citizens' safety.

According to Vuciqi's announcement, the meeting is expected after 10:00.

Lajcak and Escobar earlier in the day have held a meeting with representatives of the Serbian List in the northern Mitrovica municipal building, after which the EU's special envoy said he and Escobar are doing everything that does not have barricades again.

A day earlier, 24 August, EU and US envoys held meetings even with Kosovo officials.
