Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq has dekalated that on September 1st he will start implementing the Kosovo Government's decision on plates. Meanwhile, regarding the decision on documents, he demanded that Serbs living in Kosovo be excluded from this decision.
During a media conference in Belgrade on 27 August, Vuciq said no compromise solution on these two topics was reached with Kosovo.
The “is clear that there is no agreement for the license plates, which means it will begin to apply on September 1st. However, it is a two-month deadline, so we will see”, he said.
According to the Serbian president, talks with Kosovo were “of interest”, but “unsuccessful”.
He said Serbia disagrees with mutual recognition among the countries.
“Forget this and don't come to Belgrade with such stories because they are meaningless”, Vuciq said.
“On other issues we are willing to talk about compromise solutions”, he added.
