It has gone to 12 victims from the tragic accident that occurred in the early morning hours on the highway to Zagreb.
Tens of passengers have also been injured, and the same have been transported to hospitals in the surrounding area.
Minister of Internal Affairs in Croatia Davor Bozinovic has declared that a terrible traffic accident has occurred and that they have received information from a Polish citizen on the bus.
“11 people have died, 32 people have been admitted to hospitals in Varazdin, Zagreb and Cakovec. Another person died for hospital treatment”.
There are many passengers with severe and multiple traumas, this is something we need to keep in mind. I spoke to Deputy Prime Minister Medved, he spoke to the Polish prime minister and expressed his condolences personally and families”, he said at the news conference, writes Dnevnik, broadcast Klakosova.tv.
He has said that the bus, which was with Polish license plates, was launched from a location near Warsaw and was traveling a group planning to go on pilgrimage to Megjugorje.
Bozinovic said that there were 53 people on the bus, until he says that there were no children in the desert so far.
“According to what was said by people on the ground on the bus, there were no children, but this is hard to confirm publicly now. Between patients in hospitals and those identified as victims at the scene, there were no children”.
The Polish license bus has left the highway, causing this serious accident until the causes of this development are still unknown.
