Kosovo has an outstanding lack of electricity in winter months, when electricity spending on domestic consumption is significantly increased. But, Kosovo, has real and potentially potential potential to increase not a little electricity production from existing resources, whether there are natural resources (Kosovo has somewhere over 13 to14 billion tons of lignite reserves that extend to the surface of the earth) whether it is technical resources, already outdated and out of production, but with not much investment, it would become “Frigo”, and ready to produce the next 15-20 years.

In this text, the Economic Bulletin will not talk much about Kosovo's huge coal reserves. They die. It is a reserve of unrecognizable claims, and this fact testifies to the data that small Kosovo takes fifth place in the world for coal reserves.

While the particular advantage of all this coal is that these reserves extend to the surface of the earth and very close to the plants of the coal - based electricity. These facts make it necessary to bring back the attention of our decisionmakers to such favourable resources for abundant electricity, especially now, when prices on the global electricity market have virtually gone to the stratosphere. And attention to coal in this time of crisis, especially since the end of last year and the beginning of this year, when the world has been plagued by the obvious energy crisis, has returned the world, separately, powerful countries such as Germany, Poland, Austria, Italy, France, Great Britain, and so on.

Now, in recent months, powerful states have completely kept telling them of their countries' goals and planning to defuel their countries, of increasing renewable energy production. These countries, they want a lot of electricity. So they've named “ ” resolutions”, planning targets for designation, turning to coal, activating plants on the basis of this resource without hiding the target.

It's already becoming controversial, even inconsistent, and document-level vows (states, resolutions, international agreements) and pledges to close energy thermopathies on the basis of coal and nuclear terms needed.

As it is known, Germany has pledged to close its nuclear power plants by the end of this year and all coal- security power plants by 2030. While these days the German government has regretted these vows, it is clear that these decisions could be annulled after Ukraine's Russian attack.

Yes, tell him that many other European states have acted in a row. They've simply turned to coal, at least until the big energy crisis is overcome. Even, as it is known, not only neighbouring states but even farther away, have now shown interest in Kosovo coal, the purchase of specific amounts for their needs. While Kosovo, which is very short of electricity, especially during the winter months, and has all this coal, and a lot of electro-enerted thermocapital thermocacytes, which continues to choke, is reluctant to return even temporarily to the reconstruction of existing plants as well as to build any new thermal power plant.

Since the global electromagnetic crisis began, which included Kosovo at the end of last year and at the beginning of this year, no single step, no single action has been undertaken by the Kosovo authorities, whether for the reconstruction of a new capacity on the coal basis or for the reconstruction of existing Kosova A thermal power plants, respectively (A3, A4 and A5 blocks), which, with the coming of the government to power when they were meant to be rebuilt. But without any explanation, the building of these three blocks of Kosovo A, however serious experts, even the most serious connoisseurs of energy developments in the country, were quietly stated not once that Kosovo more quickly and at large, would provide electricity missing from the reconstruction of these huge thermal power plants and still in production with many megavats.

Experienced engineers for several decades at KEK, in conversation with the Economic Bulletin but demanding anonymity, are now quite persistent for the need to return temporarily to coal, the resources that Kosovo has abundantly forgiven.

“It is known that we do not have much potential for any large capacity from wind turbines, as there is not much wind in Kosovo and there are not many places where wind turbines can be installed. Solar panels in effective size would endanger the earth as few as possible. There remaineth therefore the coal, which is abundant in store for us, and upon us also. And that's exactly what nature has given us so rich that we haven't used very well, especially in terms of conservation of the environment”, they're figuring out their views of energy developments in us for the Economic Bulletin.

About 94 percent of Kosovo's electricity production is still from coal. Meanwhile, it is also known that European policies, those of competent association and decision-making became very wild in anti-carbon, harsh demands, and that it obviously put us in a disparity position in the face of developmental goals for us to have enough energy.

But until 2050, when there will be no more coal energy, we have two stages. We have to convince the decision-makers that we are not and have never been against renewable energy. On the contrary, with our natural potential for building solar and wind power capacities, there is no possibility that all Kosovo per capita needs can be met. So it remains to say as a necessary alternative to coal, at least until 2050, as our main energy source. Especially now, after the Russo-Ukrainian war, and after the return of attention and focus on energy development strategies of many powerful countries in Europe and in decision-making circles of the EU.

Now, many people have caught up in tʹaji makes it a question of energy policies in which coal was by no means an alternative to producing electrical energy in the not too distant future. And, the energy crisis of the 2021 end-of-year and the beginning of the 2022 year in the world, which was sharply reflected in Kosovo, testified that we Kosovars don't have as many other options to declare existence quickly and immediately coal as resources to offer Kosovo citizens stability in the current and cost-acceptable supply.

The necessary alternative, of the intestine, especially now remains to build a new energy capacity based on coal, or re-installing three Kosovo blocks A (A3, A4 and A5) that are still in operation and producing, even 35 percent of Kosovo's electricity. These options are not that they are not discussed or discussed in environments that convey the country's electromagnetic developments. But, now, the pressure that powerful countries made in global energy societies is likely no longer one of the serious difficulties, and the threat of rebuilding A, or of a new 300-400-megawatt thermo-environment capacity.

The carbon tax, warned that it would set up the EU and that it was at enormous cost, or that it was perceived to be somewhere the cost of producing a megavati, and perhaps even more than that, will, however, be much cheaper than the stratosphere price that not rarely until these days has spent 500 euros on a APU hour megava.

KEK engineers, those veterans, but also of new generations, now openly and without hesitation present a new alternative to faster and easier electricity shortages. And at less cost. According to them, it is the concession of the A1 and the A2 blocs, which, as it is known, are out of production and without working a single hour.

For concessioning these blocks, according to KEK engineers, there is also a very serious interest, especially after the outbreak of the global crisis. Hence, they feel that they should use the moment and moment to select a serious investor and predetermine it with contracts and agreements signed for the necessity of investing in the latest technology, and especially the latest technology necessary to protect the environment from pollution.

Kosovo, thanks to abundant coal, has the chance to set conditions, as well as investors' interest in concessioning these two blocs. And, with the reconstruction of these units already dead “ ”, Kosovo and the evental concession would provide 150 megavats plus and more electricity, while simultaneously providing clean, acceptable environments and international standards.

According to KEK engineers, the most optimistic, even if given A1 and A2 with concessions at the beginning of this year, now, according to all likelihood, all jobs for their hasty reconstruction would be completed, and thus we would already have the first additional megawatts. To contribute to A1 and A2 concessions for several years, 15-20 years, suppose, as KEK engineers require, is necessary primarily to become legal with currency contracts and environmental protection and convincing explanation that in this action, the foremost issue will be maintaining environmental balance and environmental protection. Then, precision of the duration of concession.

However, it must be confirmed that eventual concession should be temporary, mostly as it was said, 15-20 years. Because, in the context of the expected energy developments in the country, mistakes are no longer allowed, whatever they may be, and that eventual errors in this sector cannot be sanctioned.

Kosovo, as it is seen, will ultimately depend on coal for several years. More or less, so do Kosovo policy people, but so do our experts. In the context of these developments, Kosovo must finally prove wise. To make it clear to the community energy but also to the international political, real energy needs, but to those needs both resources and energy potential. It would be wise to find the solution to Kosovo's focus as quickly as possible to have the main focus of the overall defuelisation of the energy sector, rapidly increasing construction in renewable energy, which means by increasing investments in energy developments and at the same time finding a modus, where until 2045-2050 should be used in coal-based thermal power plants.

Now, after the return of the world's attention to coal, it is much easier to implement this policy, but also to seek money from international financial institutions for new electrical events.
