“Using human technology and resources, we remove millions of accounts each week for violating guidelines for manipulation of our platform and unwanted mail. In this case, by mistake we have taken accounting action in many accounts and they have been reactivated”, a Twitter spokesman for Radio Free Europe said.
Serbia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced on August 22nd that the Twitter accounts of these Serbian embassies have been suspended “without any previous explanation or message pointing to possible violations of communication rules on that social network”.
On 18 August, this company also suspended accounts of dozens of current and former Serbian Progressive Party deputies and politicians in Serbia, as well as a government official.
On 19 August, this company told Free Europe Radio that, in case of these orders suspended by Serbia, it has wrongly taken austerity measures.
Twitter later suspended accounts of 13 members of the Serbian Progressive Party, led by current President Aleksandar Vuciq.
