According to the announcement, reductions will reportedly be 6 hours with electricity and 2 without electricity.
Another becomes known that Kosovo from tomorrow will only be congratulated on local production.
This, since KEDS and KESCO no longer have financial opportunities to no longer short-term energy produced by local generators. Up to this situation has come due to the energy prices existing in international markets and the failure to reveal the cost of the system. This has also led to a serious financial situation for COSTT, which the ENTSO no longer allows to make deviations. This allows each requirement on local production to be limited to the inability to cover from import”, said in the announcement.
Full announcement:
KEDS reports that it has accepted the ordinance from the National Dispecteric Centre of Kosovo, part of COST, to begin with electricity restrictions from 8:00 Monday. These restrictions, under the plan sent, will be up to 2 hours for all consumers. Thus, consumers during Monday day will have 6 hours of electricity and 2 hours of restrictions.
Of course, the country will be supplied only by local production.
This, as KEDS and KESCO no longer have financial opportunities to no longer name energy outside what is produced by local generators. Up to this situation has come due to the energy prices existing in international markets and the failure to reveal the cost of the system. This has also led to a serious financial situation for COSTT, which the ENTSO no longer allows to make deviations. This makes each request on local production limited to the lack of import coverage.
The electricity bought up so far has caused environmental loss for both KEDS and KESCO. Both companies have wrapped up last year with huge financial losses -- one 27.8m euros, another 18.5m euros -- in a total total amounting to over 46m euros in losses.
During the extraordinary tax review, the regulator had taken into account the government's 100m-euro subvention. Not a cent of that amount has been distributed to the supplier. This has made matters worse. Today, several months after, all financial opportunities have been exhausted. The two companies, such as KEDS and KESCO, can no longer carry the burden of the global energy crisis and its effects on Kosovo. Emergency action of other activists is also required so that we can face this crisis together.
