BSPK's head, At and Hykoli, has said the government is threatening strikers and that this is illegal. He called this a huge mistake of government.
Our Social Officer, the government is threatening the strikers, and this is illegal for breaking the law on strikes, Lawon No. 03/L-20, Article 11, 13 and 18, and above all, this is not good at all.
Threatening quiet strikers and, in their right, is violation of the norm and principles of the democratic and judicial state, and, above all, taking the right to strike is, in other words, a huge mistake”, said in the BSPK Turkey communiqué.
Hycoli has declared that the government should sit at the dialogue table and deal with solutions to employee demands.
Our “Partner Social ) Government should be given the reason and sit at the table of frank dialogue where we should come up with the right solution, and the appropriate solution is to meet employed requests”, said the communiqué.
BSPK's communications:
Today, Thursday, August 25, 2022, we want to inform the opinion that we are now on a general strike, and we are on strike without our will but forced by promises and procrastinations in meeting legitimate and reasonable requirements, by promises that were never fulfilled and by the intentional drags that produced this entry into the strike.
Our Social Partner, the Government, is threatening the strikers, and this is illegal because the law on strike is violated, DEGY No. 03/L-20, Article 11, 13 and 18, and above all, this is not good at all.
Threatening quiet strikers and, in their right, is violation of the norm and principles of the democratic and judicial state and, above all, taking the right to strike is a huge mistake.
Our Social partner, the government, should be given reason and sit at the table of frank dialogue where we should come up with the right solution, and the appropriate solution is to meet the needs of employees.
BSPK Chairman
Attale Hycol
