The International seminar on Albanian Language, Literature and Culture has gathered around itself numerous Albanologists, scholars and seminarists, where even students from Serbia are not missing.
Nevena Zivanic says this is a very good opportunity to learn Albanian, since in Serbia they are limited to speaking Albanian.
While other seminarists tell of the advantages the seminar offers, she says that in Kosovo she has been very well received and that she has the opportunity to speak Serbian freely as well.
Nevena Zivanic, seminarist from Belgrade, says the seminar is a very good opportunity to learn Albanian.
I love it here because I can speak Albanian, in Belgrade it's not very likely, so it was very nice here... He was very afraid to come here to Kosovo, but now he is better and comfortable. People are very nice, kind. And many older people understand Serbian, so I have access to Serbian and Albanian... I've been learning Albanian for three years and before those years I didn't know a word, but I listened to Albanian songs and I started learning a little bit bit and now I'm learning a lot”, she says.
The Serbian researcher shows that in Belgrade they are limited to speaking Albanian, while emphasising the Albanian language seminar is a very good opportunity for that.
For us from Belgrade every opportunity to speak Albanian is a very great opportunity, and I really appreciate that we can be here with society. In Belgrade we are limited, we can speak only at the faculty and we also have no books, different seminars, we can't go to Tirana or anything like that, Pristina was very good for us”, she told the KP.
David Duda, a seminarist from Poland, also expresses satisfaction with the organisation of this seminar. He points out that the possibility of talking to people from different countries is very good.
I love it here and I'm four times... The atmosphere here is very good, it is possible to talk to people from different countries and we can learn better here Albanian”, he said.
While Sara Elshani, who comes from Austria, says Kosovo has changed positively over the years.
I see that something is changing every year, and that's what I'm enjoying because if we compare Kosovo ten years ago, it's going well ahead of”, she says.
