A bus from Serbia has been overturned on the Thracian highway in Bulgaria, hurting eight children and four adults -- some severely, Euronews Bulgaria reports, follows Serbian media N1. Bus ended up in a ditch, writes N1.
Two ambulances, a fireman, and several police vehicles have arrived at the scene. All passengers are citizens of Serbia, and there have been 48 people on the bus. They were returning from Sunny Beach, following the festival's participation in Nessebar, according to Bulgarian media.
The accident occurred near Stara Zagora. Meanwhile, RTS reports that the injured are being transported to Stara Zagora Hospital and that two people have suffered serious injuries, one of which is a child.
Bulgarian public television also suggests that the cause of the accident is not yet known, but also that a long blockade and columns have been established on the highway to Sofia, as well as a corridor for emergency vehicles.
