RER rejects KEDS demand for electricity expensive

The Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE) in a media communiqué has said that, on August 9th, 2022, it has accepted the application for the extraordinary review of the Maximed Submissions for the Universal Service provider (FSHU). Among other things, in its request the FSHU points out that in the absence of remuneration of subsidies from the Government of the Republic of Kosovo amounting to 32.8m euros for February 9th, June 30, 2022 has exceeded the threshold of material of 5% as defined in the FSHU Entrance Rule, thus enabling the opening of extraordinary reviews.
The ZERE says that in accordance with the FSHU Rule for Determination of FAU Envention, it has carefully analysed the FSHU app, and finds that the extraordinary event has not been under the control of the FSHU, and that the lack of subvention of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo would exceed the 5% threshold of material in the FSHAA's Maxal Inflows, which would open up the extraordinary review of tariffs for consumers who enjoy the right to the universal service.
On August 24th, 2022, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in its meeting by decision No. 21/94 of the 24.08.22 on the basis of public interest and overall economic interest, with the aim of providing regular electricity supply and in order to maintain the sustainability of the electricity price for terminal consumers enjoying universal supply rights, the company operating as a Public Service provider ( FSU has placed additional public service obligations on him. But no. 23/94 has approved the Economy Ministry's request for budgetary allocations to a lot of 41m euros in terms of the Economic Resurrection Pack for implementation of Massa 3.7.
