Based on the energy situation in Kosovo, the Emergency Technical Committee (KTE), founded by Minister Artane Rizvanolli, consisting of representatives of all relevant energy institutions, held the second meeting.
The second meeting shortly after its establishment, was organised yesterday evening to recommend new measures for easing electricity supplies to Kosovo.
In order to overcome the situation with electricity supplies that will last until August 25th 2022, the Emergency Technical Committee recommended that KEK provide the needed energy to avoid reductions for consumers and energy networks.
The economy ministry encourages all citizens to save energy, especially these days until the second bloc of the Termocentral Plant “Kosovo B” enters into office after the preparation referendum for the winter season.
The committee is aimed at drafting recommendations for minimising the effects of the energy crisis.
The technical committee aims to identify the potential impact on the emergency situation of power supply, operation and liquidity in the energy market, the management of the situation, as well as the recommendation of ways of minimizing negative effects on both supply and market during the emergency situation.
The Emergency Technical Committee has this composition: representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Trade, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Energy Regulatory Office ( ZRREE, Independent Commission for Mining and Minerals (KPMM), Kosovar Competition Authority, Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), Transmission System Operator and Market Exchange (KOSTT), Operator of the Distrition System (KEDS) and Universal Service provider (KESCO).
