Pristina soon equipped with new buses and electricity

The Pristina municipality is soon expected to be added to several new buses, including them with electric buses.

Municipal officials have also warned of the establishment of ticket prices for urban buses in the Pristina municipality.

The capital is expected very soon to be added to 30 new buses, which will operate within the capital on the basis of mobileisation plan on central lines, has suggested Radio Kosovo Halil Halili from the mobile sector in the Pristina municipality.

There will be some electricity in these 30 buses. On the basis of the furniture plan, central lines will be re-organised on the main roads of different city neighborhoods. Where they will circulate into specific areas and cover the network of existing lines until transport reshuffle”, he said.

Halili then said they have made calculations about ticket prices and have come up with results that are impossible to operate at the current price of derivatives.

We're currently on a trend where there's different price hikes, especially of derivatives, and these lifts that have been done cannot cover us for urban traffic, and for that we've considered the possibility of raising the ticket price at an affordable cost to citizens”, he added. According to him, with the arrival of new buses, this integrated ticket, weekly, monthly ticket, as well as annual, will be a company responsible only for public transportation.
