Martin Stäger was found dead in Lauterbrunne on Wednesday evening. Suspected is his wife, H.K. The victim is the head of a small municipality in Switzerland, Lawterbrunne.
Stäger was a member of the SVP and since 2014 mayor of the tourist point, which also includes world famous villages Wengen and Mürren.
On Thursday, cantonal police in Bern announced the operation in Lauterbunne. A report was received Wednesday evening that a woman wounded a man to death.
In a house in Gäsli, emergency services found a man with serious injuries. They have only been able to determine the death of 69-year-old, as police say. His wife was arrested and sent to the holding.
