Full communication:
The decision by the RKS Special Prosecutor confirms that IPK claims are unfounded, where police officials are accused of criminal acts, without securing evidence
The Kosovo Police Union has always expressed concern and has reacted to the arrests of police officials that were made by the Kosovo Police Inspectorate. The police Union's remarks and demands have been that the IPK do not perform spectacular actions and that all IPK actions be professional and that arrests come in providing solid evidence before their actions.
The Kosovo Police Union, the recent arrests at the border points, considers them unacceptable for the fact that police officials have been treated as criminals and accused of criminal acts, without providing evidence of alleged IPK actions, what we are saying confirms the No verdict. PPS No. 13/2022, with courses number 2022:0018374, released on the date 02.08.2022 by the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, for cutting down investigations into the three police officials involved in the arrests.
This decision confirms our consistently expressed concern that the arrests of police officials are being made in haste, without providing evidence and wasting all options under the Penal Procedure Code.
Based on all that was said above, the Kosovo Police Union appealed to all justice institutions, and in particular The IPK's to stop all pressing, spectacular and illegal actions, now more witnessed at the decision of relevant institutions, because these actions are unjustly tarnishing and degrading the image of the Kosovo Police, police officials and their families, and thus damaging the reputation of the Republic of Kosovo.
The Kosovo Police Union will be in defense of the police institution, police officials and all members of the police by exploiting all legal mechanisms to seek responsibility against all those who make the arrests without sufficient and groundless evidence, with the aim of protecting the human rights of members of KP, rights guaranteed by local and international laws.
