“Below paedophilia, violence has no rationale”, protests in Pristina begin

A large number of citizens have joined this protest,

Protesters in their hands carry numerous banners with inscriptions “Protection for Girls and Women”, “Cica and women, we are together arms for arms”, “Didn't nana fail, did the state fail”, “8 months in prison? It is worth much more than 5 life sentences”, and so forth.

The protest that started in the “Zahir Pajaziti” Square is organised by the Association of Women's Thought and Action Collectives.

According to this organisation, this rape case is also an alert to the uncertainty and horror that girls and women live in Kosovo, in every space they find themselves in.

In Kosovo, roads, parks, squares, house rooms, school or work spaces are often a crime scene. There girls and women are harassed, raped, and killed.
