So at least the official has announced communication at the ombudsman institution, Petrit Colak.
The People's Parliament, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and the Law for the Ombudsman, soon comes out with an official stance regarding the question at”, Colak said February.
In recent weeks, after more than a decade, wearing cover for girls of Islamic confidence in public schools has been restored as a topic of discussion in Kosovo.
An administrative guide issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in the Government of Kosovo in 2010 decided to ban wearing headscarves in primary and high schools in the country.
The course that had even at that time prompted numerous reactions.
The debate over allowing headscarves in schools is not limited to Kosovo. Many countries are at different stages of this discussion.
However, for the time being, the debate in Kosovo is limited to social networks and television studios. The government, the Minister of Education, Arberie Nagavci, who is in charge of leaving the article, has not yet dealt specifically with the issue.
However, August two days ago through a media communique announced how the minister will fulfil all legal obligations and ensure that every child is in school banks with the start of the new school year.
And this reaction by the Ministry of Education to the debate over the headscarf was interpreted as a softening position on the matter.
Unlike the Ministry of Education, Albin Kurti, Kosovo's prime minister, was more clear in articulating his position on the issue.
Kurti said the headscarf should not be forbidden for girls, but the condition is that they be over 16 years é “this is the threshold”, the prime minister added, linking this age to some other rights that 16-year-olds have, such as marriage to parental reconciliation.
Professors of university, philosophers, theologians, jurists, and many journalists are also involved in the debate about the headscarf.
One side argues in the existence of an Islamist in Kosovo and the lack of Muslim girls' rights for schooling, while the other calls the initiative the backlog and agenda of political Islam in Kosovo.
