The president of the SBASK, Nundman Jasharaj, has reacted to the statement of Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Arberie Nagavci, who last night warned this union of strike on September 1st called it a threat and said it is unacceptable.
According to Jasaw, the function and the armchair have changed Nagavci.
What makes us feel even worse is that unfortunately the function and the armchair has changed many times. Nagavci. She was once a deputy and a member of the Parliamentary Commission for Education was very loud, and in January 2019 she had publicly declared when the SBASK was on strike and precisely because of dissatisfaction with the Law on Pays that <x1);greva that the teachers themselves did not want it either came as a result of the poor governance” to add, other than that “ ...if the government did not ignore SBASCH concerns today would not create frustrations that it created and that students would not remain in their homes. The true cause of the strike is the Kosovo government””, said in response.
From the SBASK have asked Nagavci and Government to open the doors for meetings and dialogue.
“Minist if you and the Government really care about students and hours lost in the strike engage and open the doors for meetings and dialogue and for finding acceptable solution to membership requirements”, it is said in response.
Full response:
We're sorry how much your function has changed and your armchair has changed. Nagavci
The SBASK would feel happy if Minister Navci with her public statement brought the news that after her commitments the Government has finally changed its approach to dialogue with trade unions and that it will start with meetings and dialogue in an effort to jointly find solutions for the legitimate requirements of the SBASK and other trade unions not to need union action and general strike. But that did not happen and instead the minister calls the strike warning a threat and shows that neither it nor the Government intends to change their approach to trade unions, nor will they cry for their demands, and therefore our warning, which is not a threat, but an alarm, will turn into reality and general strike will happen unfortunately, and the only blame for that is the Kurti Government.
What makes us feel worse is that unfortunately the function and the armchair has changed many times. Nagavci. She was once a deputy and a member of the Parliamentary Commission for Education was very loud, and in January 2019 she had publicly declared when the SBASK was on strike and precisely because of dissatisfaction with the Law on Pays that <x0-greva that didn't want even the teachers themselves came as a result of the poor governance” to add, except that “ ...if the government did not ignore SBASCH concerns today would not create frustrations that it created students and would not remain in their homes. The true cause of the strike is the Kosovo government”.
The minister then and now the SBASK was and remains the same and the key requirement is now related to the Law of Pays, but now you try to reason with Government without even one argument and that it is the only blame and you criticize it without even a fact of the SNOK. How much your function has changed and your armchair has changed. Nagavci.
Minister of Opinion must tell the truth and if we are based on facts, then the SBASK and other unions more than in the past now have reason to go to union and general strike because: We sent dozens of paperwork for meetings with institutions in order to talk about membership requirements and to try together to find acceptable solutions, but the Government kept silent to our commitments and lost dialogue and meetings. To promote the Government for Dialogue and Acceptable Agreements, we organised escalating union actions starting with the April 8 protest, the single-hour strike in the entire education system, and in other sectors, the May 20th protest with massive participation in membership, for which the Government did not cry. We also sent letters and prayers to the President of Chief Parliament and even to each MP, asking them to engage in dialogue and agreement. We also took advantage of the last opportunity for dialogue by engaging the mediator and doing so in an effort to change the government's wrong approach and not have to go on a general strike, but the Government ignored all of this by bringing us into a position to have no other opportunity and we have to respect the voice of membership and go on a general strike. These facts that I cited and many others prove that this created situation and the strike that will take place in the last week of August, and if the Government continues with this approach, then the strike will continue even more than 1 September until the legitimate demands of educational workers and other workers in the public sector are realized, the only blame is the Government of Kosovo. The SBASK and other unions made all these commitments and actions so that we would not come to the general strike the Government did nothing but continue with the wrong approach and ignoring union demands. The worse the government continues to boast that it has created the largest budget of all time, and economic experts also criticised that the government has too much money, which keeps it uncut. So, there's a potential budget, but it won't even meet a union requirement and so as if it's telling us to go on a general strike.
Ministers if you and the Government really care about students and hours lost in the strike engage and open the doors for meetings and dialogue and for finding acceptable solution to membership requirements.
On August 2,
SBASK
Mayor Nundman Jashara
