A month of detention even for fifth suspect in 11-year-old rape

The same month-long detention rate has been assigned to four other suspects with initials: G. R, G. J, J.S. and E.R.
The rape case is allegedly conducted in a city park on August 27th.
Civil society and many citizens have expressed resentment over the case, and on August 30th and 31st, two protests in Pristina have been organised with women's requests for protection and fighting violence against them.
With similar calls, it protested last summer.
At the time, the trigger has become the murder of an 18-year-old in Ferizaj, following suspicions that it has been systematically violated.
Kosovo Police data points to dozens of cases of sexual violence reported annually.
According to the Kosovo Women's Network, the largest number of victims of this violence are girls aged 13 to 16.
