Macro signs Finland, Sweden NATO membership protocol

After signing protocols, Macro has said it will reinforce the security of the two states.
“This sovereign election of Finland and Sweden, two European partners, will reinforce their security in the face of a threat in their immediate neighbourhood and bring a significant contribution to the capacities of these two partners”, he has said.
The French Senate and the National Assembly had previously approved and ratified the requirements for membership from Finland and Sweden, Yle.fi writes, broadcasts Clankosova.tv.
Some 23 of the 30 NATO member states have so far ratified the membership applications submitted by the two countries.
Six member states -- Slovakia, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey -- have not yet approved the applications.
