University professor and analyst Blerim Latifi writes that failure in Kurti's first visit has served the necessary lecture that you cannot govern Kosovo by ignoring American demands.
During today's statement by the American ambassador to Pristina, Mr. Latifi says. Hüvenier, that there was co-ordination between the government and the international factor for the latest measures (documents and license plates), is a lecture on the opposition that can't be served with more coverage of Kurti's anti-Americanism.
Mr. Latif writes:
“Detail on the first visit to the United States, probably Kurti would have served to get the necessary lesson, which all of his ancestors knew: You cannot govern Kosovo by ignoring American attitudes and demands.
On his second visit, Kurt must have made it clear to Americans that he already understood the lecture well. The first test for this was a pardi in northern Kosovo. The opposition ran to accuse Kurt of failing to co-ordinate with the Americans. Today the American ambassador came out and said that everything was coordinated with his office.
The consequences of these developments are clear: the opposition cannot calculate even further on the frozen reports between Kurti and Washington. Not even in his anti-American story. It should seek new areas of opposition. If she's already interested in this”.
Today, US Ambassador to Pristina Jeffrey Havenier has confirmed that the Kosovo Government's decisions on reciprocity with Serbia on the issue of license plates and inflow documents were “fully co-ordinated with the international community”.
Houvenier has written on Twitter that the US welcomes the Kosovo leaders' decision to suspend the provisional suspension of these reciprocity measures.
The U.S. promises of the decision by Kosovo have leaders to fail ultimately the implementation of reciprocity measures on license plates & end/exit documents, both sources are literally in line with the Brussels agencies and we were co-ordinated with the international communications.?

“The US welcomes the Kosovo leaders' decision to temporarily suspend implementation of reciprocity measures for license plates and entry/exit documents, the two measures are fully in line with Brussels agreements and were co-ordinated with the international community”, wrote American ambassador.
TAKING: Because of the Kosovo Government's decision on Serbian license plates and documents, local Serbs in Kosovo on July 31st placed barricades on roads leading to Jarinje and Brnjak.
The government said it will postpone implementing decisions for issuing documents for entry and exits for citizens of Serbia entering Kosovo and for changing Serbian license plates when the blockades are removed.
The decision to issue documents for entry and exit is being implemented at the other four border points with Serbia, which are open.
Mission NATO in Kosovo, KFOR, said it is prepared to intervene if stability is threatened in northern Kosovo. /Periscope
