Laker: I don't expect a play on September 1st. We have two months to find a license plate.

The EU's Emisari for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, from Slovenia has talked about the issue of license plates. He has said it is a two-month deadline and that he believes a solution will be found, since some ideas for the Heedars in the dialogue have been proposed, Euronews Serbia reports. Asked about Vucic's statement [...]
Asked about Vucic's statement that he does not hope a solution to the license plate work will be found by September 1st, Lajcak has said he does not think the solution should be sought by date.
The government's decision in Kosovo is that the process should be completed by the end of October. So we have two months to find a solution. We already are. We had discussions with Vuciz and Kurt on this subject. We were in trouble about the identity cards and the letters for the in and out. As for the license plates, we have at least two months to resolve it, and I believe we will find a solution”, Lajcak told Euronews Serbia.
Asked how he sees the job of resolving the license problem, he has said he will not go into detail.
Especially because we've proposed some ideas to partners. So it wouldn't be good for me to publicize them. I'd like to say that it would really be better, instead of solving crises, that we could devote ourselves to the core of the process, normalization. But people live normally because they don't need to think about what happens tomorrow, after a week, in a month. And I think we'll get there. We had the first conversation between the two leaders two weeks ago in Brussels on that topic, and that conversation showed that they can talk, even though they don't agree on a lot of issues” the Slovak emissary said.
Asked whether that two-month period has been confirmed by Kosovo, the EU's special envoy has briefly posted “Yes, of course”.
That registration campaign starts on September 1st and should last two months. I don't expect any drama on September 1st. There is no reason for this, we have that two-month period to find a solution, as we have found in terms of ID cards”, Lajcak said among other things, noting that we should be optimistic.
