Prime Minister Albin Kurti, after meeting with international representatives Miroslav Lajcak and Gabriel Escobar in Pristina, has said decisions made by the Kosovo Government for license plates and exit documents will begin implementation on September 1st, and that there will be no delay.
For this, Kurti pledged that if the security situation in the country's north becomes disturbing, Kosovo institutions will react.
I've met with General [Frecence] Kayar, as well as our police and EULEX. Barricades are not solutions. There's a state mechanism that's going to react, it's not just the police, it's also the special police force, and nobody can stop the special police from coming north. Kosovo's north is part of Kosovo, it is located in Kosovo and there has never been more rule of law in northern Kosovo than now”, Kurti said in an interview for Al Jazeera.
