Euronews journalist Albania, Kosovo Joci, has been hit with a bidon by the balcony of a residence in northern Mitrovica while reporting on the situation there.
The video reports show the time when the journalist turns his head after being hit with a bidon.
The moment the incident occurred, he was accompanied by colleague from Kosovo, newspaper photographer “Voice” and Reuters news agency Laura Hasani.
This Monday the situation appears calm in northern Mitrovica compared to the day before.
But, in the centre of the city of Mitrovica, there is no shortage of a resident in which it reads: “Welcome to the Serb municipal community”.
Meanwhile, roads leading to the Brnjak border points and Jarinje continue to be blocked by cars and trucks.
Even the border points are closed, where neither goods go, this decision made by Kosovo Police, following tensions the day before.
The Kosovo government has postponed the decision to equip Serbian citizens with Kosovo documents and license plates on Kosovo territory for September 1st 2022.
The decision was made in late hours of Sunday evening following tensions created in northern Kosovo, where Serb citizens blocked the border points.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that postponing implementation of the decisions for license plates and reciprocity is only under the condition that all barricades are removed from the country's north and freedom of movement is restored.
