Kosovars continue to give up citizenship: High Number in the Last Six Months

Referring to recent statistics by the Department of State, Asylum and Migration at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is said over 2 thousand Kosovars have renounced Kosovo's citizenship for the first six months of this year.

It is said that the removal of citizenship has mainly been sought by people living in the states of the European Union, where no citizenship is allowed.

While the largest number of those who do not want Kosovo's citizenship are young, seeking jobs in a European state.

In the Department of State, Asylum and Migration at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 5,000 people are said to give up Kosovo's citizenship within a year.
