A 36-year-old man, who returned to Italy after a five-day trip to Spain and suffered from fever, sores, fatigue and headaches, has tested positive for monkey linen, COVID-19 and HIV at the same time.
He developed all the symptoms nine days after he returned, writes CNBC.
Symptoms included a frying on his left arm after positive testing for COVID-19, followed by bubbles that appear to the following few days.
After he went to the hospital for treatment, he further proved positive for monkey smallpox, COVID-19 and HIV in a series of tests.
The husband's HIV test showed that he had a high viral load. He got out of the hospital about a week later and was healed by the monkey's permit and the Coronavirus.
Researchers from the University of Catania said the case shows how the symptoms of monkey oak and COVID-19 “can overlap” and confirms how “co-ordination, anemnetic collection and sexual habits” are important for diagnosis.
According to WHO Director General Tedros Ghebrreesus, more than 35,000 cases of monkey smallpox have been reported in 92 countries and territories since 17 August that have claimed 12 lives.
Cases have focused mainly on Europe and America.
