Former Kosovo Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj has said that Prime Minister Albin Kurti's approach in dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which is under way with EU mediation, is only in the interest of Serbia, rather than Kosovo.
Hoxhaj, who is currently deputy chairman of the Kosovo Assembly from the ranks of the largest opposition party, through a writing on the social network Facebook, has said Kosovo's approach in dialogue with Serbia is moving in the closed circle and not towards the final goal, as he put it, the bilateral recognition agreement.
“Selecting technical topics with populist benefits has replaced dialogue from a platform for interstate normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia on the subject of crisis management! This approach is only in Serbia's interest, which every time aims to keep Kosovo away from the big, focused on small crises!” has written Hoxhaj.
He has now said that Prime Minister Kurti “said that Kosovo should be an equal party on the table, and not on the menu, but he has already made Kosovo subject to the management menu of international crises! That's what happens when it negotiates without vision, no platform, no principles and no purpose.
The geopolitical change is so fast and Mr. Kurti is so slow that Kosovo is losing its historic chance that during the Biden Presidency, a historic agreement with Serbia is reached at a time of Russia's fall and Serbia's isolation! ” wrote Hoxhaj.
On the other hand, at the end of the letter, Enver Hoxhaj said there is a time plan for Americans that should close the theme of our reports with Serbia, but, according to him, Kosovo under Kurti's leadership, “is moving in time and space towards self-signed isolation!”.
