The case of violations of an 11-year-old in Pristina, out of five people, has shocked the country.
According to the Pristina Foundation Prosecutor's File, which is owned by the newspaper Express, 11-year-old violation started Saturday in the park in the neighbourhood of “Arberia” in Pristina to continue at another unknown location.
It describes shocking details of the occasion. In custody for the case, there are four suspects -- three of them minors -- until the fifth is expected to appear before the Court today.
But this is the only case of rape that has occurred this year. According to statistics Kosovo Police have sent to Gazeta Express, from January this year through July, 41 cases of sexual rape have been reported.
Compared to the same period last year, police say there is a sharp drop in cases.
Over the past year 102 cases of violations were reported, 59 of which were reported in the January-July period.
Police say they have also carried out awareness campaigns aimed at encouraging victims to report all cases, especially sensitive cases such as sex violence and domestic violence.
