The “Day was a very long day in Brussels. There have been many discussions, meetings, negotiations. Of course they're all disappointed that we couldn't solve short and long-term issues, but I think those conversations resulted in positive developments”, Hill said, broadcast Indescsonline.
He stressed that it is clear that the US and the EU co-operate closely and that there is a common understanding of issues, as well as a good chemistry.
That, he believes, will help achieve progress.
Clearly, the Serbian side came to talks with a positive spirit. They have worked hard on this issue, are prepared to negotiate and negotiate, with the aim of progress”, he said.
Hill said this is important not only for future talks on Kosovo, but generally for relations between the US and Serbia.
We have a lot of common ground for cooperation. “not everything the United States and Serbia do together must be linked to Kosovo”, he said.
Hill said the two countries should co-operate also for Kosovo, but reminded that there are many other issues for co-operation.
I was encouraged by the aspect I saw yesterday”, he concluded.
