Hill declared this in RTS, saying it does not think there is anything more important for the Serbian municipality than how they will live in Kosovo in the future, writes news.net.
I think that association is a good solution, it's been talked about over the years. It's time to put it on the table and seriously discuss it”, the ambassador stressed.
He stressed that such solutions exist in many democratic countries and estimated that “could also apply to the Balkans”, stressing that “any country, including Kosovo, if it wants to reach European standards and be accepted into the family of European nations, must seriously approach”.
The two sides must seriously engage in this issue, to solve it, to address problems, with the goal of the end to be functional and sustainable in the real world”, Hill said.
The US diplomatic representative in Serbia said the United States has certainly noted an increase in tensions between Pristina and Belgrade recently, and stressed that all parties should be “giving ventrating their rhetoric because there have been some harsh words, which are not very useful in this” process.
