The Kosovo government today has allocated 40m euros to COSTT, in terms of electricity in the north, despite the agreement signed in Brussels for the Energy Guide.
Minister Rizvanolli said that under the agreement, there is a deadline for the start of implementation of the agreement.
“The energy guide based on the 2013 deal and the 2015 conclusions envision a deadline for implementation. This deadline envisions implementation starting on October 1, 2022. We continue to realise the agreement at the points that depend on us as a state. We remain binding, the pledge we have made to the NSO-E for bloc operation with Albania, for example that Kosovo is responsible for the flow of energy within its” borders, Rizvanolli said, led by Periscopi.
The separation of 40 million, Rizvanol, praised it as the government's most important decision today.
One of the most important decisions is for the sharing of 40m euros for COST. We are at a crucial moment for the energy sector, and for the state the Kosovo state-run agreement at NTSO, which is a two-year agreement with the possibility of relocation, and 23 states that are signatories will decide whether to continue the agreement with Kosovo. We are in a situation where during the year we have caused major imbalances to the intercontact system”, she said.
Finance and Transfers Minister Iron Murati has proposed that 40m euros be earmarked for the COST company.
He has said that 40 million are being split so that the agreement can be continued with the ENTSO-E, the European Transmission and Market Network, and the obligations that come out of this agreement are respected.
The COST company is going through financial difficulties because of its obligations to NTSO so that we can continue to be in the same regulatory block and implement the agreement that has been on for two years and now it is time to continue. The demand has been supported by public enterprises, the allocation of 40m euros” is approved, Murati said.
The Kosovo Assembly had earlier authorised COST to cover electricity deviations in Kosovo's four northern municipalities, exploiting revenues from its own budget, tools that would be compensated for “from distribution or any other possible” mechanism, with which 11m euros were earmarked. /Periscope.
