With concern, he has accepted the news about the 11-year-old rape case, the Kosovo Women's Network.
This network has demanded that the suspects after assessing the evidence receive a merit sentence based on the weight of the work.
“According to the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code, Article 227, notes that “Whoever forces the other person to commit sexual acts without the consent of such a person is sentenced to prison terms of two (2) to ten (10) years... while in cases where the victim is a minor punishment must be no less than five (5) to 20 years in effective prison”, it is said among other things in the RGK response.
RGK is even deeply concerned that only two of the five people suspected of rape have been arrested by competent institutions so far.
“According to the Institute of Legal Medicine, in over 70% of cases of sexual rape victims are minor girls. Sexual violence against women and girls and any other kind of violence against women and girls should be fought by all society, and any fraud of violence must receive merit sentences from competent bodies”, RGK's reaction continues.
It has also been called for working with minors to have a focused approach to the victim and for the same to receive needed and appropriate assistance. /Periscopi/
