Germany with new measures against COVID-19

The masks and presentation of evidence that a person is not infected will be binding from October to April of next year at homes of care and similar institutions dealing with vulnerable persons.
Passengers on airplanes and those traveling by train and bus to long destinations will also be required to wear masks during this period.
However, Germany's 16 states have authority to pass its rules, depending on the situation with pandemic. State governments can also decide on wearing masks in public transportation, in schools or in public events that develop in closed environments.
Public buildings, such as schools, prisons and asylum seekers' shelters, can apply regular testing if cases with coronary increase, the health and justice ministers said through a joint announcement.
The German government also plans to launch a campaign to vaccinate against the Coronavirus during the fall.
“German has to prepare better for koronavirus in winter, better than last year”, said Health Minister Carl Lauterbach.
The new measures must receive cabinet and Parliament approval before entering into force and are expected to be approved in the two institutions. /rel
