The regular supply of electricity will occur only after the B2 thermal power plant Kosova B, which has been in motion since 7 August.
According to recent reports, this bloc will return to function on September 1st. He confirmed this for Periscope, KED spokesman Viktor Buzhala.
“Block B2 on schedule should be returned by September 1st. But due to the difficult situation, maximum efforts have been made to return on August 26th. We have been notified that it will be back at the scheduled time initially”, Buzhala said.
In Kosovo, electricity reductions have been under way for about two weeks, because according to KEDS, the production of electricity from KEK is not covering the energy demand.
The B2 block's most functional, will have about 780 megavats of electricity, produced by thermal power plants. This increased amount of electricity will be enough to supply Kosovo summer consumption without reductions, as actual output is about 530 MW, as consumption behaves 630 to 660MW.
On 18 August, KEK has accepted several recommendations from the Energy Technical Committee. The main recommendation was that the corporation should use remaining means (about 7 million euros). Even today, electricity import has been zero. The reductions have continued. /Periscopi/
