Kosovo's corrective service has accepted the next donation from the US Embassy, from the Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Implementation Issues (INL) respectively.
In the report sent to the media, it becomes known that electronic signs, security cameras, databases and various monitors are included in the donation, through which corrective officials from the Kosovo Coordination Centre will monitor all corrective and detention centres.
“The grant delivery-over was signed by Deputy Director General of the Kosovo Correcting Service Sami Gashi and the Director of the Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Implementation (INL) in Kosovo, Shawn Waddownups.
The donation will affect increased security levels both within and outside corrective institutions, aimed at combating and preventing negative phenomena, as well as improving the conditions of the daily work of corrective officials.
U.S. Embassy with its donations through the INL & I CITAP has supported and is continuing to support the development of the SHKK in building an advanced, independent, secure and self-resistant system of”, the report says further.
