“These issues are being addressed through a facilitated EU dialogue, which the United States supports. We believe that dialogue is a channel and a mechanism through which Serbia and Kosovo reach a comprehensive agreement that will end with normalising relations between the two countries that will unblock the European future for both countries. While dialogue has strategic focus, it has also proved to be a very important and very flexible mechanism for resolving disputes,”- reported in the UN response.
European Union for Foreign Policy and Security High Representative Josep Borrell declared the day before the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia was reached on the issue of identification.
Under this agreement, Kosovo and Serbia will give up issuing documents for entry and exits for citizens of both countries.
The agreement between the two countries this Sunday was reported by numerous world media like BBC, CNN, Associated Press, Anadolu Agency, Al Jazeera, Reuters and EuroNews.
