Details from American Intelligence: How Beden decided to kill the world's most wanted terrorist

Before giving the order to kill Ayman al-Zawahirin, President Joe Biden wanted to understand exactly where Al Kaeda's leader was hiding. The US-based attack that killed Zawahir on his balcony in downtown Kabul was the product of several months of extremely secret planning by Biden and the close circle of its top advisers.
Among the preparations that were carried out was the model for his murder on the small steps of Zawahir's safe house, which was drafted by intelligence officials and introduced inside the White House before Biden to review it while debating options, writes CNN.
For Beden, the possibility of getting rid of the world's most wanted terrorist, one of the organisers of the September 11 attacks, 2001, carried a lot of risks for the accidental murder of civilians in the Afghan capital, as happened in another US attack, with a threat 11 months ago during the chaotic withdrawal of the American Army from the country.
Details of his attack and planning were discovered by a senior administration official, while Biden was preparing to announce it.
Throughout months of efforts to plan this weekend's attack, Beden has repeatedly ordered his officials to ensure that civilians, including members of the Zawahir family, are not killed. None of them were, according to the White House.
Beden, who was isolated because of the Quaddy-19 infection during final discussions and authorisation of the attack, came out to announce this success on a White House balcony Monday.
It was a victory moment for a president who was surrounded by internal political problems that span the deadly withdrawal of Afghanistan a year ago.
Biden was first informed in April of an American intelligence report showing Zawahir living in a safe house in Kabul. American officials had been aware of a network supporting the terrorist leader in the Afghan capital for months and had been able to identify her wife, daughter and children through numerous ways of intelligence.
