Daniel Serwer for Periscope: US, EU make sure Belgrade doesn't continue the mess after 1 September.

Belgrade is the problem. Belgrade should be shown to be on the wrong side. So says Periscope, professor of John Hopkins University in Washington, Mr. Daniel Serwer, commenting on recent developments in our country. Below, Mr. Serer's answers to these few questions: Periscope: How did you comment on the situation [...]
Below, Mr. Serer's answers to these few questions:
Periscope: How did you comment on the latest situation in Kosovo, following developments in the country's north?
Daniel Serwer: I think Kosovo is in its right to insist on reciprocity on license plates and documents. Belgrade's refusal is the source of the problem.
Periscope: Was Mr. Kurt to listen to the advice of our Western friends (American Embassy) to postpone reciprocity's decision for 30 days?
Daniel Serwer: That sounds prudent, considering the circumstances. But now the European Union and the United States must ensure that the circumstances will vary by September 1st.
Periscope: How do you view the course of this process after 30 days?
Daniel Serwer: Belgrade will continue to create confusion as long as it is allowed by the United States and the European Union.
Periscope: Of the many security experts in our country, but even of the heads of institutions, the situation of the last hours in Kosovo was seen as the indicator of a hybrid Russian war in the Western Balkans through Serbia? Your opinion? How dangerous is this situation?
Daniel Serwer: I would not call it hybrid warfare, but this is not peace or good neighbourly relations.
Periscope: Do you think Brussels will manage to overcome this situation as it has already already launched invitations for meeting between the two sides (Pristine and Belgrade)?
Daniel SerwerThe invitation would not do that. Belgrade should reportedly be on the wrong side and that it must change its policy towards license plates and documents or accept reciprocity. /Sokol Berisha & Dafina Demaku/Periskopi
