Continue electricity reductions, cafes facing major problems

By Monday, electricity reductions have begun in Kosovo. As a result, businesses are facing problems that are causing reductions, even some of the cafes when they don't have electricity and they don't work because they don't have generators. They say lack of electricity is causing [...]
They say that lack of electricity is causing them much loss in products as well. As long as they ask the KEDs to take any measures, they also provide as much information as possible for citizens.
Arber Maliqi, manager of one of the cafes in the capital, has told Kosovo that reductions are causing a lot of damage. He also says reductions are only informed through the media.
“Zaconal (reducing) is two to four hours. Normally we have been informed among the media that there will be reductions in the days ahead. The situation is not good. Normally, it's a waste of business, because everything's powered... If they don't take any measures, it'll be a problem for business”, he said.
While Hysni Gashi demands that KEDs continue overnight and not at the time they are working, as this is causing major problems in business.
We have a lot of problems. The current is the first thing a bar should have, to us it's a problem. There are problems with meat, drink, electronic system... It would be nice to have no reductions... The request for KED is that reductions continue during the night and during working hours do not bother us, as it is very difficult to function”, he said.
Gashi says they are not directly informed by KEDS of the reductions, until she adds there should be more information.
And according to him, information on the e-Kesco platform isn't being respected, because there's actually no more electricity than it was warned, and that's a big problem for them.
We care for ourselves on KEDS pages... It takes a lot more information... Every minute is a huge setback... Last night it seems like the reductions were by 10:00, and it's stopped at 8:00 to 22:30, then it's stopped five minutes later, so there's a lot of problems... On the KED page was...22:10 to 22:18x1>, he said.
He has said that at the time there are reductions the job is terminated, as there is no generator.
By the time there's reductions of work, it completely ends, so two or two and a half hours we don't work, we have generators and we can't have because we have no space and they make noise. We during that time are paralyzed as a whole”, he said.
KED spokesman Viktor Buzhala in a telephone response to Kosova Prees has said they inform businesses of reductions. Yet he added that they could be informed through e-Kesco platforms.
Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce through a communique has requested emergency government measures to enable businesses to supply electricity.
Through a letter to Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the Government of Kosovo, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kosovo has urgently called for measures to be taken against the losses that are being inflicted on businesses as a result of continued power cuts, which are more pronounced this week.
According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the losses which are being inflicted on businesses as a result of power cuts are impossible to compensate, so on behalf of businesses it has requested by the Government of Kosovo to urgently allocate a special fund for their support.
