US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has launched charges on Iran that at least he inspired the attack against the renowned writer Salman Rushdie.
Iranian”Institutions have been pushing for violence against the writer for years, and official media seem happy about the attack on him. All this is disgusting”, Blinken says in a statement issued by the State Department.
The State Department's “joins all those who condemn this heinous attack”, he stressed. Not only a giant of literature, Rushdie has always fought for the universal value of freedom of expression, trust and media. As police continue the investigation, we must not forget that there are dangerous forces trying to undermine these rights, including hate speech and inciting violence”, he said.
”Concretically, Iranian institutions have provoked violence against the longtime writer”, Blinken added.
