With the Supreme Court's ruling, abortion is not done with illegal automatism in the U.S. but states can decide whether to allow it.
About half of American states, especially in the south, are expected to completely halt this procedure by passing laws prohibiting abortion.
More specifically, one of the directives that Biden is going to issue is to allow states that have not banned abortion from applying particular Medcaid measures [a specialised benefit package for a sub-profit group] that would help them deal with women who have travelled to the country to carry out the abortion.
The order will also call on health care providers to respect federal laws against discrimination and simplify the collection of key data on mother's health at the National Institute of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Details of the order were described by senior administration officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Beden, who continues to remain isolated at the White House residence because of COVIID-19, will sign the executive order as he helps launch a federal task force for access to reproductive care, which will be led by vice president Kamala Harris, officials said.
The Supreme Court of the United States, on June 24, announced the verdict, which ended the semi - century right of abortion. / REL/
