He was a supporter of women's education and had previously survived the two assassinations in Pakistan, broadcast Clankosova.tv.
Currently it is not clear who is responsible for his murder, but he was previously targeted by the Islamic State Group (IS).
According to some Taliban sources who talked about Reuters news agency, the attack occurred after a man who had previously lost one leg exploded the explosive hidden in an artificial plastic limb.
Sheikh Haqqani was a supporter of Afghanistan's Taliban government and a prominent critic of the militant group jihadists, Islamic State, Provinca Kohrasan (IS-K), a regional branch of the IS operating in Afghanistan and rejecting the rule of the Taliban, reports the BBC, broadcast Klaankosova.tv.
