Chandrasekhar Harbola and 19 of his colleagues were involved in an avalanche during a patrol operation on the Siachen glacier along the India-Pakistan border in 1984.
Fifteen bodies were found later, but five were missing.
Siachen is the highest battlefield in the world, and soldiers from both countries die in storms and avalanches.
The army unit that saw Harbor's body also found another, but had not yet been identified, the PTI news agency reported, broadcasts Klankosova.tv.
