Three Dutch soldiers were wounded by gunfire outside a hotel in Indianapolis.
The soldiers, members of the Komando Dutch Corps, were in Indiana as part of a drill, the Dutch Defence Ministry said in a press release, CNN writes, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
The officers responded to a Hampton Inn shortly before 4am and found three men with gunshot wounds, according to the Indiana Metropolitan Police Department.
The three men were sent to a hospital, one of them is in critical condition, authorities said.
The preliminary questions suggest there has been a stir between victims and suspects resulting in the shooting. The detectives do not believe this was an odd act and that there is no immediate threat to the” area, Indianapolis police said in a press release.
The shooting took place outside the hotel where the soldiers were staying and happened during the break, according to the Dutch Defence Ministry's announcement.
