Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has charged Moscow with declaring <x0) gas fighting” Europe and that it is causing terror on people, following a announcement that a Russian company is reducing gas transport to Germany.
Russian Gazprom said it is reducing gas flows in Germany to allow work on a turbine in the Nord Stream 1 pipeline.
However, this s '%s' believes Zelensky, who said it was simply “gas sources” against Europe, writes the BBC, broadcast Express newspaper.
“The gas trend towards Europe, which only deteriorates every month, needs only one terrorist state to make each European” worse, Zelensky said in his overnight speech.
He said he was deliberately meant to make preparing for winter more difficult for Europe, without showing any concern for the poverty that people might suffer in the cold months as a result.
This decision on Russian gas comes as expectations remain that grain exports from Ukrainian ports could resume this week after an agreement.
Gazprom said Monday that he should cut gas supplies to about half the current levels in order to perform maintenance jobs, but the German government said there was no technical reason for it to limit supply.
The Nord Stream 1 pipeline, which runs under the Baltic Sea to pump gas from Russia to Germany, has already worked well below capacity for weeks and shut down for a 10-day break earlier this month.
Russia supplied the EU with 40% of its gas last year until the EU has accused Russia of using energy as weapons.
