Vetevendosje man appointed member of Kosovo Central Bank Board

Nexhat Kryeziu He received a total of 72 votes from 85 deputies who voted for that appointment.

The government Kurti, at this year's April 30th meeting, was hired by the candidacies proposed by the Selector Panel for the selection of non-ekzekuit member at the Kosovo Republic Central Bank Board.

The proposed names (see the decision) were: Arta Hoxha, Esida Bujupi, Lulzim Ismajli, Nedzat Kryeziu and Nora Raraci.

On March 1st, the Kosovo Central Bank (BQK) has announced the competition for a position of non-executive member of the BEC board.

According to the published competition, the appointment will be for a five-year term, starting in the appointment date.

The list of candidates who qualify from the panel would be sent to the Kosovo Assembly, as was the procedure.

Approval and appointment for this position will be made by the president of Kosovo.

Under the Law for the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, the Central Bank Board is made up of Governor and four (4) non-executive members, who are charged with the task of approval and supervision of policy implementation, as well as oversight of central Bank management and activities.

The Kosovo Central Bank is an independent public institution. Its main objective is to promote and maintain a stable financial system and an efficient payment system. The CEC supports the government's overall economic policies.

Within the legally defined competencies, the Central Bank, members of the decision-making bodies, or Central Bank personnel, will not receive instruction from any person or other subject, including government subjects.

Nexhat Kryeziu, who has been the candidate for MP from the ruling party in the 2017 national elections, has been appointed head of the Kosovo Council for Financial Reporting in February. /Periscope.
