22-year-old Robert E Cremo III was detained after a police chase.
The gunman climbed a roof, accidentally shooting at the spectators. He opened a fire in the parade near Chicago City, about 10:15 p.m. by local time just minutes after he started.
This is the latest mass murder that has hit the U.S., as there has been one every week during 2022. President Joe Biden said it was “shaken” by violence.
