The Special Continues Prisoning Salih Mustaf

Mustafa's detention measure has continued until September.

This is decided by the chairman of the court, Mapie Veldt-Speakia, in a decision that was made public the day before.

Among the many reasons cited for continuing custody of Mustafa, the risk of escape has been mentioned, the impact on witnesses, and the disappearance of evidence.

This, however, may already be said to be in the final phase.

The court has set the date of September 5th 2022 as the date when the SPS can present the parameters for the next review for the detention measure, meanwhile for the defence party has set the 13 September.

Salih Mustafa was arrested in September 2020 and has since been held in custody.
