Community for Security and Privatety Chairman Mentor Hoxhaj says Serbia and Russia are the largest media space pollutants.
Viewing the frequency of dezinforamas for Kosovo that burst into Serbian media, Hoxhaj says the same increases even more before any important political activity or events.
“Zaconly ahead of any different political activity lies a propaganda or a campaign to achieve a certain goal. Even this propaganda is in the context or in the continuation of the special war that takes place against Kosovo. Various international missions are known in Kosovo, starting with EULEX and ending in KFOR, which provide the proper level of security and the proper level of information on what is happening in the Republic of Kosovo. So such propaganda takes no place in the media space of the Republic of Kosovo and is an extremely large newsstand. We should focus more on what's behind this and what's the real purpose of such propaganda... A motive is behind any such propaganda, and the Republic of Kosovo as soon as it gives a good and demultatory answer in this direction of this propaganda... Because such propaganda would provide motivation and reasonableness to different centres outside Kosovo, such as those of Serbs, even local Serbs, to take any action which would be contrary to the calm that exists or even to the nervousness of Kosovo citizenship”, he says.
Security expert says Kosovo should engage in the fight against disinformations, as Serbia and Russia as the biggest media pollutants are spreading the biggest propaganda.
“Serbia and Russia are the biggest pollutants of media space, whether by propaganda and newscasts, which have the main objective of destabilising the political and economic situation of the Republic of Kosovo and for Kosovo to be seen as a problematic state and a dysfunctional state. Any information, which is in this direction, has this goal”, he said.
Even university professor Dren Grguri says Serbian and Russian propaganda has taken on enormous proportions for Kosovo.
According to him, Serbian media have long reported that Kosovo is supposedly preparing for a war against Serbia, until it emphasises that it could deceive the public in Serbia.
The media in Serbia have long reported that Kosovo is allegedly preparing for a war against Serbia and that this is one of the strengthening strategies of false narratives for this topic, and of course that this can then deceive the public in Serbia that is informed by these media that the word APUluft is quite frequent by disinforming that Kosovo is preparing for war<1>, he says.
According to Gergur, the damage to this propaganda can be great. He says Kosovo should be attentive to the dezinforms coming from abroad and that the Kosovo issue is being related.
This is a more sensitive topic, whether of conflict, war, or such, then the damage can be even greater because citizens are informed by those media that probably distribute propaganda, believe that the information they are receiving is true and may ultimately act on something that is false... I believe that Kosovo should be attentive to the dezinforms coming from abroad and that they are talking about the Kosovo issue and that they are producing various false Narrativas for Kosovo, and in this respect of course that Kosovo institutions should react from the government and then different ministries, depending on the topics which are addressed... Otherwise, if there is no reaction to the media field, there is only one version left, and that is a false version”, he appeals.
With the beginning of Russian aggression in Ukraine, Kosovo has again begun to become part of the discours in Russia, especially in Serbia. While our country is lined up side by side with democratic countries condemning this aggression, Serbia is the only country in Europe that has not taken any sanctioning measures against Russia, on the contrary, sometimes supported gears have been held for Putin's state.
